Photos of what claims to be the 4-inch iPhone 6c have been leaked online. There have been a lot of rumors about the 4-inch iPhone going around since the launch of the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, but we haven't received any concrete evidence of this as yet. These new photos that have been leaked do however seem to suggest that an iPhone 6C model is on the way and our post today will explain more.

We had all come to the conclusion that the iPhone 6C was a mere fantasy and that it was never going to manifest. Now we have reports jumping out at us that suggest otherwise. Some of the sources are pretty confident that such as device is in the pipeline and is being targeted towards female users as Apple attempts to grab an even bigger share of the smartphone market by offering size variations in its smartphone products.

An online parts retailer has just published photos of what looks to be an iPhone 5c housing, but with a few tweaks in design. The source is also suggesting that the housing is in fact that of the rumored iPhone 6c. The new 4-inch iPhone will apparently retain the polycarbonate body and candy colors along with the same shape as the iPhone 5c, but the LED flash cut-out is now oval, suggesting that this model will have dual-tone LED flash – like the one found on the iPhone 6, 6 Plus and 5s. The other major change can be found at the bottom of the casing which now sports a multiple pair of speaker grill holes unlike the single row found on the iPhone 5c.

According to reports that have been leaked, the iPhone 6c is likely to sport some high end specs this time around including the iconic Touch ID fingerprint sensor, an NFC chip for supporting Apple Pay, and an improved camera. It is also being speculated that the iPhone 6c could include a new A9 processor, but given that the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are running an A8, it is unlikely that this will be the case. Judging by what the iPhone 5c was, then it's highly likely that the iPhone 6c will be an iPhone 5s repackaged in a plastic body.

We still have no real evidence that the iPhone 6c will ever see the light of day but we are sure that plenty more rumors and leaks will appear as September gets even closer.
